Today was just another day. Work and...work. Too much fun, as usual.
I've been really getting into messing around with different things for my blog, and I think I have finally settled on some stuff. Soon to come!!
I continuously slack on writing for my blog, but when I do, I realize how much I love it. I loved writing in journals when I was younger. I just love to write period. I loved all of my English and Writing classes in high school and college. I feel like it's one thing that I can truly say I'm good at (and have even accomplished a few things with). When I was younger I used to receive awards all the time for writing essays and other pieces. It really does bring joy, even if it's just me rambling like I am now. I'm really considering trying to see if I can be a writer for some online communities, whether it be for travel stuff (since I now feel like I'm pretty much EXPERT on the Hawaii experience), or even just guest blog spots. Nothing to be paid by or anything of the sort. I would just really like to stretch my legs a little with writing and see what I can do.
I normally don't watch the TV shows that everyone is all hyped about (okay, aside from Jersey Shore ha ha), but a co-worker of mine today told me to look up the episode from Sunday night's Coming Home on Lifetime. Tear jerker! I have heard a few people mention it, and it just never really appealed to me all that much. Not that I don't fully support the soldiers out there, or their families. Just one of those personal preferences, I suppose. I might be whistling a different tune now! My co-worker had me watch two specific parts of the episode. The first being the newly promoted SGT who came home to surprise her husband by dressing up (hiding her TRUE identity) as a NHL goalie. So stinkin' sweet. I choked up a bit seeing how happy her husband was when he realized it was her. The next one was a woman who had lost 120 pounds during her husband's deployment. MY GOSH! That is such a success story and she looked so incredible. Her husband hardly recognized her, but he kept telling her over and over how beautiful she looked. It was really touching, and again, brought tears to my eyes. Next weeks episode is about a Fallen Hero being honored. I'm pretty sure I will be trying to catch the episode. I have officially fallen victim to Lifetime.
Definitely just another day. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some good news tonight. :) It's a secret for now, but I will share hopefully SOON!
I love when you blog! Hopefully you got your good news last night!
