Sunshine and Other Things

I have been quite the slacker again. Oops. To my defense, it has really been a crazy past few weeks.

Here are a few things to get caught up on stuff.

I got nominated for The Sunshine Award by my friend Kendyl. Thanks so much for nominating me. I really don't feel like many people look at my blog, and if they do, they don't really care. I would really like to one day have my blog in a lot better shape and have many people looking at it. Not just to read the boring stuff I write, but to check out the crafts I have accumulated and of course my recipes. I just like sharing. So again, thank you Keni!

Something about me? Oh boy..
I'm a very opinionated, stubborn, at times raunchy, and plain ol' blunt person. I don't really have much of a filter from brain to mouth. It, at times, gets me into trouble, but for the most part, I think people respect me for being ME.

On to the next!

Alex's Mom, Grandmother, and little Brother will be out here Friday evening. This is the first time I will be meeting them, and the first time Alex has seen them in almost two years. We are both very excited.

Things with the little man are getting tough, but we just have to keep reminding ourselves that this is his first summer here with us (and first time seeing his dad in 3 years), and he's not used to structure. We'll all get on even ground eventually.

My little sister has been sitting for us while we are work. She's awesome! We will be having her move in with us here soon so that she can be in a better living situation, and so she can continue going to the great school she attends. I sure love that girl.

I'm really hoping my Momma can send out my baby brother. I miss seeing him (and of course the rest of my out-of-state family), but it would really be nice to visit with him a bit this summer. He's growing up too quickly and I hate missing out on it :(

Last but certainly not least...
Ashley's wedding is in exactly 1 week. I'm so excited to be a part of this special day. I know I have said this more than once, but I absolutely love Ash (and Craig too, I suppose lol). I am so happy to be helping with all the wedding planning (I swear, it's my calling). I know she is getting nervous about things, but I would just like to shout out to her that she is amazing and things will fall together so nicely when it's all said and done. Thanks for being such a great best friend and allowing me to help with all this (I had to reciprocate for her giving me an amazing best friend shout out in her blog). Love you Ash.
