I am now breathing a much needed sigh of relief.
We have the house to ourselves!!!!!
Alex had a friend of his staying with us for quite some time, trying to help him out. That friend also had someone staying with him. You get the point. In turn, it sort of messed with us, and not in a good way. If anyone has ever had roommates, I'm sure you can understand somewhat where I'm coming from. There just comes a point in time where a couple needs their OWN time. Being able to actually breathe and be together without worrying over someone else. Put TWO, yes I said TWO, couples together in a home, and you are asking for trouble. It's just not a good environment and I can tell just within the days it's been since they left, Alex and I are doing much better. It's nice to spread out a little and feel like it's OUR home. Not someone elses.
We love our big comfy couch that a friend of a friend passed down to us. Again, thank you!! We moved his music stuff and my crafting stuff into the other bedroom, so now we have our own play room! I haven't gotten my craft table entirely set up, but I do have a craft table now ha ha. I scored a sweet one at the thrift store and I couldn't be happier with it!
This is my thrift store find...Pretty awesome, right?
Alex's cousin Trey comes out for a visit next week. Alex hasn't ever had family come to see him since he's been on the island, and hasn't seen any of his family in over a year. He's really excited and I'm happy he gets to have a visitor.
I've been a cooking/baking Queen lately. I made Barbacoa Pork (Anyone have Cafe Rio before?) the other night and it turned out super delicious. I also made homemade chocolate chip cookies. I know, big deal, but these cookies (after the two batches I burned because I didn't set the timer) are melt in your mouth good. I'll be posting the recipes soon. Yummmmyy!!!
I like the craft table. are you going to finish it,or paint it or anything like that??
