I fear quite a few things. Some that are things I shouldn't technically be afraid of and some that I think everyone has a small fear for.
* Death - I know many people who say they are not afraid to die. I know, with age, death becomes something even more inevitable than it is to someone young. Either way, young or old, death is scary.
* Crazy people - I don't mean the crazy neighbor with all the cats. I mean crazy people who burglarize, rape, and mug people. I'm terrified of that happening. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that I moved out of my Dad's when I was 17 and since then have more or less been on my own (give or take a few roommates). When you are on your own (especially somewhere FAR from home) you feel a little helpless at times. Especially helpless if a situation were to arise such as the ones above. I'm a strong person and I know I can handle most any stressful situation, but I'm afraid none the less.
* Cockroaches - They make me sick. Hawaii is full of cockroaches. I'm terrified of them. They are nasty little creatures that like to crawl anywhere and everywhere, including your bed!
* Horror Movies - Most horror movies scare me. I won't lie. I used to love watching horror films, but when I was living by myself that just wasn't an option. Too much could happen to a young girl living in an apartment alone and those horror movies portray those things. That and my Dad loved scaring me when I was a little younger. After the first Scream movie (remember the garage scene?) my Dad would hide out in our laundry room which was right off of the garage and scare me when I would come inside. Ugh. I've been traumatized ever since.
