I have enjoyed all my birthdays. Well, the ones I was old enough to remember.
My 16th Birthday- I loved my 16th birthday. I had a big party at my Mom's house and had all my friends over for food, games, and of course a sleepover (guys and girls...Nothing dirty, we just stayed up all night). My Mom was very watchful of us, but gave us the chance to have a good time. That year was also the year that I had a really nice dinner with my Mom and Dad Number Two. I got the best gifts that year too. My Mom made me a pillow out of printable fabric of me and all my friends the year leading up to my 16th birthday. She also made me a family recipe book that I still use and love to this day.
My 21st Birthday- Surprisingly, I didn't go crazy on my 21st birthday. I went out to the bar with Ashley, Craig, and the rest of the gang. I met a bunch of my other friends there. Had a lot of drinks bought for me, which of course was nice (freebie night!). I was tortured with a Prairie Fire shot (made of tequila and hot sauce...blech!) from my friend Trevor, who had to pass on the tradition. We danced all night. My friend Neil made up his own lyrics to "Low" by Flo Rida. His lyrics, "Bottom jeans, boots with the spurs". Priceless. At the end of the night, instead of the newly 21 year old throwing up because of drunkenness, everyone else did (Minus Ash). Ahhh, good times. I miss all you guys oh so much!
I have enjoyed all my birthdays. I can't remember one that has been bad. I'm grateful that I have such an awesome support system of family and friends.
