Day 15-My Dreams

I have so many dreams and not enough space to fully explore and share them.

I will list a few. I do not care in what order these take place, because one way or the other, they will come true, and that's what matters in the end.

1) GET MY DEGREE-I have flipped back and forth with this one for so long and it's been really dragging me down trying to figure out what to do or what not to do. I started college right after High School for Nursing. I thought that would be the career of my dreams. I left college after one semester for multiple reasons. In all honesty, I don't think Nursing was ever my true DREAM. I have been in talks about going back to pursue Nursing because it's something I have always been interested in. Helping people, medical mumbo jumbo, you name it, I like it. After deep consideration, this just doesn't seem like the path I need to go on. I have settled on a degree in Marketing, possibly with a minor in Business (small business emphasis). Yes people, I change my mind A LOT! See Dream Number Two.

2) OWN MY OWN BUSINESS- Since I can remember, I have been into "making things happen". I loved planning birthday parties for me and my friends, I loved planning trips. To this day, I can say that has never changed. I tend to be a bit bossy, controlling (about some things), and anal. What better way to put that all to work with my own Event Planning Business. I want to be involved in it all. Invitations, promoting, finding vendors to assist with different event needs, baking, decorating, planning, devising. I have a big creative imagination that a lot of times I feel I can't express. This is something I can be happy doing from now until I'm 90 (If I plan to still work then!). Marketing will not only show me the tools to market myself, but will also help me to understand what people want and need as the times change. I hope I can play with a little Graphic Design while I'm at it. :)

3) GET MARRIED and START A FAMILY- I bunch this all into one because all of it comes as one package deal. I look forward to the day I get married and take the next step of the long life ahead of me. When I was younger I used to cringe at the thought of having babies. I wanted to be one of those women who had this amazing career and who could stand on my own two feet...Alone. Things have changed since I've gotten older, but that independent part in me is still standing strong. Marriage and babies will come one day, and until then, I'll spread my independent wings and FLY.

4) CREATE MY OWN RECIPE BOOK- I love cooking and baking. It's a passion of mine. I don't get to experiment much here in Hawaii (Hello expensive food!), but I still try to from time to time. Finding a new recipe to try and tweak makes me giddy. I would love to combine my take on food and publish it into something for many to read and cherish. What's not to cherish about food?

5) OWN MY OWN HOME- I love the thought of buying or building this beautiful home to shelter me (and my family) and being able to incorporate all of my creative thoughts and ideas to make it truly mine.

6) TRAVEL- I love the thought of traveling. I love thinking about my dreams coming true with a business and being able to go around the world helping people make THEIR dreams come true.

7) TAKE PHOTOGRAPHY LESSONS- I have always had a taste for photography. I would absolutely die to be able to take a nice class to learn the basics and possibly invest in a higher end camera that could help me share the world with everyone.

8) SEE THE LOUVRE-I have a deep seated love for all art. It would be amazing to go to the heart of the art world.
