Day 6-My One-Day-To-Be-Hubby

I figured I would give myself a little leeway in my little catch up game. I really wanted to blog again. :)
I've never been married or really engaged. I've had relationships and my share of heartaches. None of those matter now that I have Alex (as cheesy as that sounds!).


I met Alex through Mallory and Thayn. Thayn is in the same Unit as Alex and introduced us via text message. :) Gotta love technology now a days, right? I was in a lonely place in my life, and I really wanted to meet some new people, make some new friends. One night of partying led to Thayn flashing around a photo of me and low and behold, along came Alex. Ha ha. Okay, it wasn't really that desperate and lame. Anyway, we started texting each other. Neither of us expected to like each other "like that". We talked about music which is first and foremost in our "get to know you" books. We talked about family life and what not. One day it just seemed to click for us. We got on web cam together, we shared life stories, struggles, and triumphs. We realized we fit together great.

One thing led to another, and I was on a flight to Hawaii (much more story in between, but that's for another time and place). He picked me up from the airport and even though we had never physically met each other, I was so happy to see him. It was definitely a life changing event.

Here we are, 10 months later. We're going strong and plan to take our relationship to the next level..Away from Hawaii. A lot of people, I'm sure, would never understand the type of situation we were in, and that's okay. I love just like the next person does, so in all reality, I'm just like all those other love sick married (or engaged) folk. Our relationship started out a little differently than most, but in the end, it will work out just the way I've always hoped :)
